Where is versionString pulled from the client?  The Jake2 Java client fails connections to R1Q2 servers because of the

Code:
void SV_ClientBegin (client_t *cl)
{
if (!cl->versionString)
{
//r1: they didn't respond to version probe
Com_Printf ("WARNING: Didn't receive 'version' string from %s[%s], hacked/broken client? Client dropped.\n", LOG_SERVER|LOG_WARNING, cl->name, NET_AdrToString (&cl->netchan.remote_address));
SV_DropClient (cl, false);
return;

Thanks

It's sent as a stuffcmd during the connection process. If the client filters stuffcmds, it will fail this check.

I figure I would just put this question in here to avoid opening a new thread.

I'm attempting to compile the dedicated.exe in Visual Studio 2008 (DirectX, Windows and VS SDK's installed), and I've almost got it completed (lots of problems before, got most of them sorted out)

For the life of me, I can't figure this one out:

error LNK2019:  unresolved external symbol _Sys_UpdateURLMenu referenced in function _QCommon_Init

It's the only error I get.

Add it as a null stub, the server binaries haven't been built with the 7904 source before.

Thanks, I decided to just build the 7864 code Smiley
