Hi,

After running without a problem for a few days, my server shut itself down with the following console information:

Sending shutdown to 207.38.8.34:27900
==== ShutdownGame ====

The log file, however, shows something different:

[2005-02-13 22:21] Lemon 's spine was extracted by ngrbomber's Sentry Gun
[2005-02-13 22:21]
[2005-02-13 22:21]
[2005-02-13 22:21] pizza hates ngrbomber's Sentry Gun
[2005-02-13 22:21] Sending shutdown to 207.38.8.34:27900
[2005-02-13 22:21] ==== ShutdownGame ====
[2005-02-13 22:21] Fatal Error
*****************************
Server fatal crashed: SZ_GetSpace: 4 is > full buffer size 3 (4096)
*****************************

What does this mean? Is there any way I can trace why the server shut down itself?

Thanks,

-G

Thanks for this bug report, this is a non-fatal error for SZ_GetSpace overflows that was running when allowoverflow was true. It would be caused by a client having exactly 3 bytes less than the maximum message size of reliable data so the frame writing code then tries to allocate more than the remaining space. This is fixed in the next build to be a non-fatal error since frame data is unreliable to begin with.
