I am able to start R1Q2 with R1GL fine.. and I then start a tourney session. Map loads but after moving for about 3-4 seconds the entire game freezes.. Comes back after about 15 seconds and then freezes again. Keeps repeating this. Previously on old drivers was working fine.

Are you using catalyst 10.6 or 11.6? You should also mention the OS you're using.

Did you update drivers? Did you have a specific reason to do so? Generally speaking, never be in a hurry to update software since you are only exchanging old bugs for new ones. If the drivers were working fine and you had no issues related to them that required updating it's better to leave them alone until you have a real need (as in another game problem).

I always hang back a few weeks to be sure patches don't cause problems. Being on the bleeding edge can be a pain. Trying to debug this without identical hardware will be difficult.

Using Windows 7.. and the reason to reason to update is.. why not? Usually driver updates brings the best performance in the latest games..

left click on your desktop and go to Screen Resolution click on it, then click on Advanced settings, then under Adapter type, click on properties, then click driver, then click on roll back driver. You should be back to the one that worked for you. Wait for another update driver and try it if it don't work roll it back again the same way.

Yea.. I am aware I can always go back to the previous "working" driver.. but if its possibly related to a R1Q2 bug just wanted to document it here. and at least hope for it be fixed in some future R1Q2 release..
