My autoexec.cfg does not appear to get processed.  I created a file called C:\Program Files\Quake2\baseq2\autoexec.cfg with the following statement in it:

echo "************ autoexec.cfg *************"

I never see the statement appear in the console.  I have moved the file to the Quake directory and the ctf directory.   I am currently using +exec blah.cfg to "exec" my config files.  Typing exec autoexec.cfg on the command line yields the proper result.  Any suggestions?

Thanks

yes it does, it just doesn't get printed because it's executed before the console is initialized (whatever that means).

look at your log file, here's one with that echo.

Code:
