err for some reason it posted it incomplete:

Hi there.

There's three problems i've got with R1Q2, which I *was* attempting to give a go instead of Aprq2, for awhile to see if I could get used to it.

however, there are some problems maybe someone can help me with:

1) R1GL, I try to use this, set vid_ref "r1gl" in config, and it loads r1q2 up fine, except whenever I try to go into a map (or do anything other than the escape menu / console, it shuts down with a weird error (I can post if you wish), and closes down, also giving a windows error (the send error report).

2)When trying to connect to a server, it says "connecting: blah.blah.blah.blah" for any server I try, and none show up in the address book at all.. so basically it refuses to connect to anything

3)The autoupdater wont work, despite deleting, re downloading, trying again etc.

note: all on winders xp.

Please post the crash report. Also be sure you're using latest versions of both R1Q2/R1GL. It sounds like you have net connection / firewall issues too, the autoupdater itself only connects to r1ch.net using HTTP so you should have no problems running that.

Try running the updater now the firewall issue is fixed, the ref_r1gl.dll has "version unknown" which means it must be pretty old.
