For example, when listening to an internet radio with foo_read_http, and having dynamic updates of the playlist data (with the currently streamed title), the latest version of foo_winamp_spam does not support said updates, instead using the default data for that radio station. Could support for that feature be added (according to kode54 - Foo_winamp_spam would need a play callback handler for dynamic updates which are indicated to be track changes.)

Hear hear!

I'd love to see something like this.

AFAIK, there is no title-display variable in fb2k which can return metadata for Shoutcast/HTTP streams, which is the core of the problem.  %_filename% returns the actual URL of the Shoutcast server (as it should; in a playlist, a URL is considered synonymous with a filename), and %title% returns the Shoutcast server title itself.

There needs to be a special way in the Winamp API Emulator plugin to return the metadata (streaming song name) from the HTTP Reader plugin (which I assume is kept somewhere inside of fb2k's memory space, since it obviously changes the physical Win32 application title).

Peter *really* hates IRC spam plugins/modules, so seeing something like this implemented into fb2k natively would be pretty unlikely.

If the code was open-source or at least made available (I've no problem with closed-source apps though), I'd give a shot coding it up myself.

I actually use foo_winamp_spam to provide interface to my shell plugins - I use BB4Win (www.bb4win.org - blackbox for windows), it has 2 good plugins (BBMuse - title display and multiamp - control panel) for Winamp. The latter supports Foobar2k, but only the earlier versions. It also has a plugin for FB2K controls and title display, but it's less developed and less stable (and also does not allow me to have both title and controls at once) - BBFoo. Using the winamp_spam, I am able to keep the interface consistent and usable.

I'll try and add this when I find some free time to relearn the foobar SDK Smiley.

Any progress in this matter? I would really like it to work. The title of foobar2000 shows the stream info, so does the playlist, but /spam in mIRC only shows:  is playing  (Streaming: 51:8000/ @96kbps, 0:20)... huh sad

Unfortunately the current foobar release doesn't provide a metadb handle for streaming things, so I can't format the entry according to what the format string you entered is. Hopefully 0.9 will fix this and I'll update the plugin when it's released.

Yeah! foobar2000 0.9 is finally out!
R1CH, I see you are already working on new plugin... NICE! I just want to remind you about dynamic playlist data updates while listening to internet radio... Hopefully new foobar2000 will allow you to make it work! smiley
